Moo0 System Monitor is a lightweight program that you can use instead of the Windows Task Manager to know what is happening on your computer. Otherwise too, if you experience lagging in the computer, you can look up to the CPU Loader field to know which process/program is the culprit and take steps to prevent it from slowing down the computer by terminating the processor by removing it altogether from the computer. If the cell/field is displayed in red, you know that the current program using the CPU is being hard on the resource. The CPU Loader field shows the name of the program that is using the processor at any given moment. The CPU field and the Memory fields are most important in my view as you might want to know which program is slowing down your computer. When you disable a field or if it is already disabled, you will not see any tick mark in front of it. When you enable a field, a tick icon appears in front of that field. To add or remove fields, right-click on the Moo0 System Monitor window and click on the first option that says Fields. You can add more fields and even remove the default fields if you wish. The default fields set by Moo0 System Monitor are CPU, Free memory, CPU Temperature, Hard Disk Temperature, Data Transfer on the Network (Internet), and Total Up Time of the computer. The default one is black and a bit hard on the eyes so if you are to keep it on the top, I recommend changing it to blue or something that does not strain your eyes. From the list of available skins, select one that suits your eyes. ![]() To change the default black color, again right-click and select Skin. Remember that that will have an effect on total space occupied by the system monitor if you intend to keep it on top as a sidebar on applications to see which app process is being used by the CPU. If you feel the data is crammed within the columns, you can increase the cell width. The last option under Layout is Cell Width. It has three vertical options, three horizontal, and three box options. To change the shape of Moo0 System Monitor Interface, right-click on the window and click Layout and select the type of Layout you want. You can also select Transparency and if you wish to keep the window Always On The Top. The right-click menu also offers plenty of options for choosing Colors other than the size and shape of the Moo0 System Monitor window. You can also control the size of the window by right-clicking on it and selecting the Size options among Very Large, Very Small, Large, Medium, and Small. By default, it is a vertical bar but you have options to convert it into a horizontal bar or into a box shape. The interface of Moo0 System Monitor is totally customizable. This Moo0 System Monitor Review provides you with enough information to know if it is worth a try. Moo0 System Monitor is a PC performance monitor software that allows for monitoring system performance and see what process is eating up your computer resources. Plus getting the Task Manager to work in real-time (or with a second’s delay) is sometimes very heavy on the computer resources. But that data is separated and grouped by tabs and you may lose track of what you were doing switching among the tabs. Apart from showing you a ton of details related processes, Process Hacker also gives you access to services, disk, and network usage.Īll in all, other than the lack of virus scan and signature verification, Process Hacker is a pretty good task manager alternative.Normally, you can get system performance data using the Windows Task Manager as well. Additionally, you can get detailed information about any executable by selecting the “Tools -> Inspect executable file” options. If you want to, you can also find the linked handlers and DLLs of any process by clicking on the Find handles and DLLs button in the navigation bar. ![]() This feature is very useful when you cannot find the process of a particular application. ![]() One of the interesting features of Process Hacker is its find window and find window thread options which help you find the process based on the opened window on your desktop. However, the user interface of Process Hacker is a bit cleaner and has all the necessary options a just a mouse-click away rather than buried deep in various menus. Process Hacker is very similar to Process Explorer.
